Quality Specialist

Ford Component Sales, LLC (FCS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company aligned with the Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD). We are a flexible sales organization that directs resources toward revenue opportunities identified by FCSD.

We are in search of a Quality Specialist that is responsible for supporting Ford Component Sales-Power Products OE Customers, Ford Licensed Accessories with obligations to Distributors and Original Equipment Manufacturers. Lead personnel for identification and disposition of quality concerns for FCS customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
• Phased PPAP documentations and IMDS rejects / approvals.
• Work in tandem with Engineering and Purchasing for successful program launch.
• Enter data, approvals and requests in CMMS3.
• Support disposition of all FCS, customer and supplier quality issues and concerns.
• Contact FCS supplier and customer when quality concern are communicated.
• Log and track incoming concerns/issue.
• Customer location on-site visits for quality concern identification and disposition.
• Review FLA supplier Quality evaluation

O Conduct on-site visits to potential supplier location to review, document, and report supplier adherence to FCS quality requirement

• Review Warranty data supplied by FCS India Quality Team

O Warranty Claims based on the Warranty Policy & Procedures

O Ensures Warranty Process meets Audit Requirements

• Maintain documentation of plan tests and results
• Administrative and other support to the Quality Department
• Other duties may be assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to access and understand Materials Requirement Planning, (CMMS3, GSAR, WIPS, BAAN, SAP, AIMS, WERS, IMS6/IMS7.
• Knowledge of the current ISO/TS-16949 standards.
• Knowledge of Quality Control procedures, requirements, elements, and fundamentals.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles (Lean Six Sigma Green and/or Black Belt preferred)
