Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher Aide to support classroom teachers in providing a positive and effective learning environment for students. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education, special education, and working with children with diverse needs. The Teacher Aide will assist in implementing lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and supporting students’ social and academic development across various educational settings, including daycare, preschool, private schools, and Montessori programs.
Duties
- Assist lead teachers with lesson planning and curriculum development focused on literacy, math, and overall childhood development.
- Support classroom management strategies to foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to students with special needs, including those with autism or disabilities.
- Help implement behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior and social skills.
- Support children’s emotional and social development through nurturing interactions and communication skills.
- Assist with daily childcare routines such as diapering, feeding, and toddler care as needed.
- Facilitate activities that promote early childhood education principles including Montessori or preschool methodologies.
- Maintain clear communication with teachers, parents, and other staff regarding student progress and needs.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom at all times.
- Support classroom organization, materials preparation, and clean-up duties to ensure an efficient learning environment.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of special education strategies, behavior management, and working with children with autism or disabilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with early childhood education frameworks such as Montessori or preschool curriculum.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and students.
- Experience in lesson planning for literacy education, math, and other foundational subjects.
- Background in childhood development or early childhood education is a plus.
- Ability to manage classroom activities effectively while demonstrating patience and adaptability.
- Experience working with children with diverse needs including those in daycare or private school environments is advantageous.
- Receive all Necessary Trainings and certificates to work in childcare.

- Be able to work at least two nine hour days a week. Preferably Monday and Friday.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18.0 – 30 per week
