What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Receptionist position at Forrest Avenue Animal Hospital?
Forrest Avenue Animal Hospital is looking to add experienced talent into our growing hospital and team! Our hospital boasts 4 doctors providing high quality care and service to our pet parents and their four-legged family members. We pride ourselves on being a fun, collaborative, and supportive environment.
Client Service Representatives complete many organizational, medical and customer service tasks to provide the most comprehensive care they can. Some of their duties and responsibilities include:
- Manage multiple phone lines including other communication platforms such as: email and two-way text messaging
- Manage appointment scheduling including proactive forward booking and follow up visits
- Manage hospital work flow including but not limited to: greet clients, complete appointment process, inputting/retrieving information from client, and letting medical staff know of patient arrivals
- Manage check out processes including, but not limited to: ensuring services and product sales are correctly accounted, using the practice management software system (Avimark), handling money, processing credit and debit cards, Care Credit etc.
- Make outbound phone calls and text messaging to remind clients of upcoming appointments
- Understand common vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, common diseases, veterinary terminology and pet behavior
- Assist in cleanliness and maintenance
- Actively participate in ensuring an amazing client experience!
The Ideal Candidate
- MUST have computer skills / knowledge
- MUST have exceptional client and patient care
- MUST have receptionist experience, veterinary receptionist experience is a plus
- Passion for learning & caring for animals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team player who is willing to take initiative to jump in and help
- Ability to remain composed in stressful and emotional situations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
