What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title I | Temporary | Non-Public Tutor position at Fort Wayne Community Schools?
BASIC FUNCTION:
Provide tutoring services to Title I Non-public students in
collaboration with their teachers in language arts and/or mathematics curriculum.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess a valid Indiana teaching license for appropriate level and a
minimum of three years teaching experience. Must be able to transport self to various
locations within the greater Fort Wayne area.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Complete a student selection for Title I Non-Public students under the guidance of
the Local Education Authority (LEA) using criteria outlined in the rules and regulations
covering Title I.
2. Collaborate with teachers of Title I Non-public students to align instruction with
Language Arts and/or Math curriculum.
3. Tutor Title I Non-public students in the area of Language Arts and/or Math
individually or in small groups in an area outside of the classroom setting; monitor
student progress.
4. Engage parents of Title I Non-public students in the Title I program.
5. Regularly consult with LEA regarding Title I services for the Non-public site(s).

include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this
job the incumbent is seated or walking at will and must be able push, pull, lift and carry
up to 25 pounds.
