Position Description: During the ten-week Open Enrollment period from November 1 to December 15, the Prosper Health Coverage Program hires a team of on-site temporary staff to help community members enroll in affordable health insurance through the federal Marketplace and use their insurance to access care. The timeline for this position is late September 2024 to Dec 15, 2024.
A key position on the team this year is the Health Insurance Bilingual Client Support Specialist. The team of Client Support Specialists will serve as the first point of contact for clients seeking information and assistance with enrolling in affordable health insurance through the federal Marketplace. Full-time and part-time positions available with daytime, evening, and weekend schedule options. Paid training is provided; no prior experience with health insurance is required.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site client assistance and support by phone and in person
- Answer client questions, share information, and schedule appointments
- Participate in phone banking campaign to previous clients
- Help determine client eligibility for Marketplace plans and financial assistance
- Follow privacy procedures to protect clients’ personal identifiable information
- Enter client information accurately in the program database
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Ability to provide superior customer service by phone to clients with diverse identities and needs
- Ability to engage with under-served and under-represented populations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to be flexible, learn quickly, and multi-task
Compensation
$18/hourly
