What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant position at Four Town Veterinary Hospital?
Small, one doctor Veterinary Hospital looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our well-established, private practice in Somers, CT. As a small tight-knit team, everyone works together closely and is relied upon to support their fellow staff each and every day. We are looking for someone who believes in honesty (honesty in your resume is a must), is hard working, and has integrity. You can count on your teammates to have those traits as well.
In addition to honesty and integrity, you will also need the following skills: (Note: this is a partial job description)
* Experience working with Cornerstone practice management software a plus
* Experience working with anesthesia a plus
* Restraint and safe patient handling skills
* Analyzing laboratory samples
* Be able to maintain a clean and safe work environment
* Be able to maintain hospital and lab equipment
* Client Communication
We ask that you have a minimum of one-two years of Veterinary Assistant experience and be comfortable in a very fast paced environment. Additionally, experience with Cornerstone is a huge plus but not required.
Your full time schedule will be 3 full days, Monday, Wednesday and Friday with a half day every other Tuesdays. No weekend or evenings, but Saturday hours may be reinstated in the future.
