First Quality focuses on private label and branded product lines. We are seeking a Procurement Leader for our First Quality Print & Packaging facility located in Anderson, SC. This position will oversee all aspects of the Purchasing department and will work closely both internally with all departments and externally with vendors and raw materials suppliers. The individual must be a solid relationship builder and an excellent representative of First Quality’s values and integrity. Responsibilities: Direct/coordinate/execute the procurement of raw materials needed in support of manufacturing. Direct/coordinate activities of personnel supporting the buying of raw materials for manufacturing. Negotiate contracts and formulate policies with suppliers, in addition to partnering with internal Legal partners to review and finalize all contracts and agreements. Control purchasing department budgets. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures. Interview and recommend the hiring of staff. Oversee staff training and provide supervision, direction and guidance. Set goals, establish priorities, manage resources and develop concepts that efficiencies are gained. Participate in the product development process as it relates to raw materials and supplies that impact the finished product while maintaining a quality product. Resolve vendor grievances and claims against suppliers. Review, evaluate and approve specifications prior to order entry. Review, evaluate and approve requisitions from other departments. Locate/source vendors for parts and materials. Maintain records of goods/services ordered and received. Prepare and process purchase orders for supplies/parts/services. Coordinate with Quality to develop and maintain a vendor audit program assuring continuity of supply of good quality product. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business or other related degree; MBA or Master’s level degree preferred Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, for example, experience with significant negotiating and cost analysis. CPM certification preferred Must be able to travel as required to other First Quality facilities, vendor sites, etc. First Quality is committed to protecting information under the care of First Quality Enterprises commensurate with leading industry standards and applicable regulations.
