Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Customs Brokerage Entry Writer to support the day-to-day operations of our customs brokerage team. This role involves managing timely and accurate entry submissions, ensuring compliance, and maintaining excellent communication with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit CHB entries, classifications, and OGA filings in a timely manner
- Provide dispatch support and assist in coordinating ISF filings 48–72 hours before vessel departure
- Monitor and process statements under the guidance of the Import Manager
- Deliver outstanding customer service by communicating effectively with clients, carriers, vendors, and internal offices
- Handle billing processes and approve vendor invoices
- Stay updated on customs regulations to ensure full compliance with legal and company requirements
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in customs brokerage
- Strong customer service skills with frequent interaction via phone, email, and in person
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
