Broker Manager
Position Summary
The primary responsibilities include working with our brokers, identifying waste management needs, negotiating contracts and pricing, coordinating waste disposal services, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Broker Manager plays a crucial role in optimizing waste management practices, reducing environmental impact, and achieving cost-effective solutions for clients.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Quoting new sites per agreed upon rate schedules
- Scheduling work via the work order process without errors
- Work with DataMapt ticketing system to ensure timely and accurate resolution of inbound tasks sent by brokers
- Report to Area Vice Presidents, executive team and sales leadership monthly, quarterly and annual sales totals
- Implement revenue enhancements that are to occur on timed intervals like price increases or rate reviews
- Confirming services provided/miss review when broker customer inquires
- Other service requests as they occur
- Adding, changing, adjusting sites via the account change process
- Supplying requested documentation needed by broker customer including invoices, proof of payment, tonnage reports, or any other type of usually requested information
- Ensuring that top revenue broker customers are current on payments and AR is not exceeding contractually allowed amounts, causing suspension or other service delays
- Accepting and processing payments when needed to meet AR goals or assist broker customer
- Providing an audit check, or system that ensures errors are minimal or nonexistent
- Support revenue enhancements that arise from issues the field brings forward like consistent overages, landfill changes, or market driven issues
- Dissect and compile revenue by broker by month
- Other duties as assigned by Sales Manager or Area Vice Presidents when asked
- Work in conjunction with the billing, dispatch and customer service teams, as needed.
- Knowledge of waste management regulations and industry best practices.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay informed about evolving waste management trends and technologies.
- Ability to type on a keyboard and use a mouse for extended periods.
- Sitting for long periods of time while performing job duties.
- Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 20 pounds
- Travel as required.
