The Administrative Assistant facilitates the Human Resources department's efficient operation by performing various clerical and administrative tasks.
Administrative Assistant Responsibilities
- Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items.
- Performs administrative and clerical support tasks.
- Performs basic electronic high-volume filing and recordkeeping.
- Maintains filing systems as assigned.
- Retrieves information as requested from records, emails, minutes, and other related documents; prepares written summaries of data when needed.
- Responds to and resolve administrative inquiries and questions
- Prepares agendas and schedules for meetings.
- Maintains office supplies and coordinates maintenance of office equipment.
- Provides receptionist duties as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Administrative Assistant Skills and Qualifications.
- Previous experience in general human resources practices is preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management skills.
- Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Understanding benefits and pension plan terminology and documentation is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity of Adobe PDF, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc., preferred
- Detail oriented
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain client and employee confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently.
