What are the responsibilities and job description for the ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT position at Good Shepherd Community?
Good Shepherd Community is looking for an administrative assistant who will bring a high degree of professionalism to our senior living community. This individual should be a pleasant first contact, both in person and over the phone. This position will provide administrative support to a managerial office as well as provide general support to residents and visitors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Answer multi-line phone and transfer calls.
· Providing general support to residents and visitors, ensuring visitor sign-in.
· Clerical duties, photocopying, faxing, emailing, sorting mail, and other tasks associated with office procedures.
· Report building maintenance needs to the maintenance department via computer software.
· Provide a high degree of confidentiality, especially with our residents’ personal information and company business matters.
· Monitor resident check-ins, emergency calls, and camera systems to ensure the well-being of our residents, which often includes in-person follow-ups.
· Provide tours of the building and apartments as needed.
· Distribute printed materials to residents and throughout the building as needed.
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
· Proven work experience as an administrative assistant or similar role.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Great customer service.
· Hands-on experience with office equipment.
· Candidate should have proficient computer and typing skills and should be especially proficient in Word.
· Experience with Outlook.
· This position involves sitting, however, follow-ups, deliveries, dispersal of printed materials, and other tasks require an ample amount of walking and can involve the use of stairs and can also involve walking to neighboring buildings on our campus.
· High school degree or equivalent.
The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Rate of Pay: $16.00/hour
