Position Summary: Ships and receives materials in a regulated environment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintains materials in proper location and storage conditions.
- Pulls and delivers raw materials to production departments.
- Posts transactions to a Material Requirements Planning System.
- Handles receipt and inspection of incoming materials.
- Prepares and ships manufactured and distributed products.
- Prepares carrier shipping labels.
- Communicates with freight carriers.
- Performs Cycle Counts.
- Maintains raw material and final product inventory.
- Maintains warehouse for cleanliness and organization.
- Follows all company environmental, health and safety policies, procedures and guidelines, and conducts work in a safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications (skills, knowledge, special training, certification, license requirements):
- Detail oriented
- Efficient time management
- Computer literacy is required
- Ability to drive – valid driver’s license required
- Drives forklift to load and unload company truck, freight carriers and to move materials
- Performs forklift maintenance
- Drives company truck moving materials to and from the warehouse
- Hazardous Waste Operations Training
- Hazardous Materials Shipping Certification (IATA/ICAO/DOT)
- Must be able to lift/carry as much as 60 pounds at a height of 36 inches for a distance of 50 feet frequently
- Must be able to use hands for repetitive, simple grasping, pushing and pulling
- May have to perform certain duties in cold room and/or freezer
- Must be able to frequently bend, occasionally squat, kneel, climb and reach to a distance of 18 inches
- Use of pallet jack and dolly, as needed
Education and Work Experience Required:
- High School degree or GED diploma required; degree in Logistics/Supply Chain preferred
- Material handling experience preferred
