What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Fusion HCR?
The Senior Accountant will assist accounting and finance with the daily operations of the accounting and finance department. This individual will be working closely with the Director, Controller, and CFO of the accounting and finance departments.

- Manage cash budgeting and forecasting activities
- Perform monthly and annual close processes; complete month end close checklist for Director/Controller review
- Create monthly journal entries
- Perform monthly account reconciliations
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Reconcile credit card charges and payments
- Manage the AP inbox and upload approved vendor invoices into the General Ledger; resolve vendor related issues, add new vendors as needed
- This position requires <5% overnight travel
Experience/ Background:
- 4 years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in accounting or finance preferred
- Public accounting experience
- CPA candidate highly preferred
- Knowledge of GAAP, accounting theory, principles, and practices
- Ability to describe accounting systems and processes in written correspondence and in procedure manual format
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of computer information systems to present financial information
- Ability to prioritize in fast paced environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable working on-site at our Fort Wayne, IN location at least 4 days a week
