Production Manager

Fusion Ranch Inc. is a jerky processing facility located in Scottsbluff, NE.   The company produces jerky and other snack products.  The work environment is fast paced, on your feet, and physical work. We offer a smoke free, drug free work place.

This candidate must perform all duties in compliance with Global Food Safety Initiatives (GFSI), USDA, State, Federal, and company regulations, policies and procedures. 

Monday through Friday, weekends as needed.

Some of the duties include, but not limited to:

1. Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety guidelines
2. Assist plant management to meet/increase production output and efficiencies.
3. Maintain production and quality control standards with GFSI/GMP/SSOP/HACCP plans.
4. Maintain the food security policies to help mitigate potential food security risks and to ensure food security preventive measures are being implemented regarding the manufacturing, handling, and storage of all food ingredients/finished goods.
5. Control loss, minimize/eliminate downtime and improve product yield.
6. Assist in expense control, including material, labor and overhead costs
7. Coordinate training, resolve labor and production issues, and ensure complaints are resolved.
8. Maintain staffing levels, employee performance evaluations, and discipline.
9. Assist in creating daily production schedule and oversee plant production.
10. Other duties as assigned.

A qualified candidate must meet the following criteria:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Food Science, Chemistry or related field and/or 3 years manufacturing/management related experience in a food production.
2. Previous GFSI/HACCP experience in the meat industry
3. Self-motivated and high performance oriented, proven ability using of shop floor control metrics to increase quality, efficiency and reduce loss.
4. Solid attention to detail to maintain records and reports.
5. Problem solving and statistical skills.
6. Strong communication skills both verbal and written across all levels.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
8. Pass E-verify (I9), background check and drug test
9. Able to lift up to 50 lbs
