Project Overview: Infrastructure and production support
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain IBM DB2 databases on z/OS mainframe platforms.
- Optimize database performance and system functionality.
- Collaborate on database schema design and implementation.
- Supervise external DBA teams for software installation and support.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Monitor database availability and resolve issues.
Required Skills:
- 8 years of experience with zDb2
- Proficiency in IBM Infosphere Data Replication Suite (IIDR).
- Expertise in IBM DB2 administration on z/OS platforms.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, DB2 partitioning, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with data security and compliance regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with service level management, change management, and incident resolution.
- Knowledge of IBM DB2, IMS DB/DC, and ADABAS database products.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications in DB2 or related technologies preferred.
