We are in search of a Plant Manager for our plant in Springfield, MO. This is a hands on position that offers a challenging work environment where independence and creative thinking are the norm. The ideal candidate will be someone who is comfortable working in a diverse and fast-paced environment while adhering to company guidelines and operational policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop, establish, and implement long-range and short-term strategies and operating procedures to achieve established plant goals and objectives
· Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed customers’ expectations for foam fabrication operation.
· Apply statistical methods and perform analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and increased efficiency
· Responsible for overall product cost, quality, and on-time delivery.
· Oversees and supports development and execution of departmental strategy
· Responsible for ensuring department goals/objectives are met and align to Future Foam’s overall strategy.
· Apply Lean principles in company operations.
· Ensure written standard operating procedures and work instructions for key processes are in place
· Set clear expectations for team members, supervisors and managers.
· Coordinate resources, optimizing facilities and equipment.
· Build and Maintain a safety first culture.
· Utilize lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste.
· Recruit, manage and develop plant staff.
· Develop and communicate strategies to all employees to provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
· Monitor processes and implement corrective actions to continually improve operation.
· Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts.
QUALIFICATIONS / OTHER REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, or related field.
· 5-10 years of manufacturing operations management experience.
· Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.
· Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
· Solid understanding of business and management principles (budgeting, supply chain, strategic planning, resource allocation and people development).
· Familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean management principles
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

· Bilingual (Spanish/English) desired.
· Ability to manage travel up to 5%
