What are the responsibilities and job description for the Knitting Technician position at Future Stitch?
FutureStitch is currently looking for an experienced Knitting Lonati Technician to lead the sock knitting technical innovation & development in our southern California knitting development center.
The Knitting Lonati Technician is responsible for building technical and innovative machine programs on Lonati and knitting product on Lonati SbyS sock knitting machines to ensure maximum utilization of the machines capabilities and pushing the boundaries of circular knit socks product.
The role is primarily focused on building programs and knitting product on Lonati machines. Future Stitch works with major customer accounts and prides itself on cutting edge innovation in circular knit.
Located in Southern California Future Stitch offers an inspiring work environment with global technical support.
5 day working week, day shift only, with benefits.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with FS design and development team on developing top technology and state of the art products.
- Build Lonati machine programs to meet the technical and innovation ideas of the company.
- Maintenance of the development center Lonati SbyS machines.
- Work with Future Stitch designers to build programs that bring design CADS to life.
- Innovate and create new products and technologies.
- Constant improvements on the sock knitting machine and raw materials to elevate new products.
- Troubleshoots major knitting machine problems and fine tunes programming for maximum machine efficiency.
- Fosters positive morale among staff, by promotion of open communication with all departments, to help create and maintain an innovative and cooperative staff relationship and environment.
