Mechanic

Required

Mechanic performs routine maintenance and repairs to vehicles and landscape equipment. The Mechanic is responsible for the full range of automotive maintenance and repair needed for company vehicles and equipment in good running condition, included gas, diesel and electrical engines. The Mechanic inspects vehicle-automobile/trucks and equipment to determine necessary corrective action; perform diagnostic tests using scanners; fabricate or modify equipment and various other metal structures. Under general supervision, perform the following required experiences:

Vehicle –Automobile/Trucks

• Diagnose and repair components, electrical and fuel systems, etc. For various powered and rolling equipment such as cars, trucks, van, landscape/construction equipment and generators.
• Performs tune-ups, brake jobs and other preventative maintenance on cars, trucks, vans and other powered rolling equipment; replaces common parts and makes adjustments.
• Repairs mowers, tractors, and other small engines.
• Designs, welds, and fabricates steel, aluminum and stainless-steel fabricated projects using gas.
• Maintains appropriate service and repair records.
• Researches, purchases and inventories equipment/vehicle parts and supplies.
• Responds to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service.
• Requirements: authorized driver, able to lift 60 pounds periodically, bend, twist, climb, walk for an extended period, and wear required PPE.
