Summary of Job Function:
Under the direction of the Electrical Applications Manager, the Electrical Application Engineer I will primarily be responsible for verifying data required for elevator control equipment, standards and changes with specific customer needs, and work with multiple departments and product lines to meet customer requirements. After the product has been delivered to the customer, the Electrical Application Engineer I will have to assist customers in processing technical issues and field related modifications.
Essential Duties:
- Manage and interpret customer requirements and specifications
- With supervision, customize the company’s Industrial Control equipment to meet customer’s needs and specifications
- Process basic change orders that may require the modification of company products and equipment
- Work with various departments such as Customer Service, Estimating, Sales, and Manufacturing to ensure client specifications are met
- Provide assistance to technical support for industrial control products related to Applications
- Orchestrate both simple tasks with limited supervision. Daily responsibilities will depend on his or her ability to produce results from existing limited solutions and to maintain a professional attitude
- Participate in information gathering calls and/or meetings with clients to determine the clients' needs, and desired outcomes.
- Assist manufacturing in trouble shooting issues related to elevator control equipment.
- Review and understand product design changes related to elevator control equipment.
- Other duties as assigned
Work Environment & Hazards
- General office environment, must be able to remain sedentary for extended periods of time
- 10%-30% of time may be spent on the manufacturing floor
- Risk of injury on manufacturing floor
Special Physical Demands
- Limited physical effort. Requires occasional moving of materials and equipment
- Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs

Qualifications
- High School diploma with a minimum of 3 years of direct experience required
- A.S. degree in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering Technology or related field with 2 years of experience strongly preferred
- 1-2 years of Autodesk AutoCAD knowledge preferred
- 1-2 years of 3-D AutoCAD drawing experience preferred
- Beginner data analysis, math, and problem-solving skills required
- Excellent communication and time management skills required
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Highly motivated individual with eagerness to learn
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to multitask
Salary : $61,500 - $65,000
