Shipping Clerk

GALAXY LIFTS –SHIPPING CLERK     

Galaxy Lifts is seeking a motivated individual to join as a Shipping Clerk who is responsible for keeping the warehouse running smoothly by preparing outgoing shipments, organizing finished inventory, and reviewing shipment scheduled to properly coordinate with production for the delivery of our cargo and passenger lifts.

      WHAT THE ROLE DOES:     

• Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including wearing all personal protective equipment (PPE).    
• Process, pick, pack and ship outbound materials for customer orders.    
• Ensure inventory accuracy and participate in cycle counts.    
• Load and unload trucks.    
• Ensure that all parts, pieces, and equipment serial numbers on the paperwork match the inventory being pulled or received.   
• Inspect all outgoing shipments to ensure compliance with applicable quality standards.   
• Maintain, organize and clean equipment and the work area.    

      THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:     

• High School diploma or equivalent required.     
• Prior experience in shipping and receiving as well as forklift operation is required.
• Basic computer knowledge required.    
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to stand, push, pull, carry, squat, kneel and maneuver through the production warehouse.       
• Local to Mabank-Athens, TX or willing to relocate.      
• Highly ethical, positive culture addition, self-motivated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
