- Interview clients and research records to gather information for overpayment determinations.
- Collaborate with employers, landlords, utility companies, schools, and other agencies to obtain relevant information.
- Investigate potential fraud and overpayments based on citizen reports and referrals.
- Log referrals into NC Fast and coordinate with accounting for direct client payments.
- Explain community eligibility requirements and reasons for overpayments to clients.
- Prepare summaries and present evidence for Administrative and State Hearings.
- Handle charge letters from USDA and other administrative duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker or similar role.
- NC Fast Core Certification and Level 1 Core Trainings to be completed within 90 days of employment.
Minimally qualified applicants will start at 25% of the salary range: $22.64/hr.
The applicant selected must undergo and pass a drug screening test prior to employment.
