We are a large, private Gastrointestinal physician practice looking for a scheduling professional to join our growing team!
Description:
- Responsible for checking patients out and scheduling follow-up office visit or procedures
- Schedule office visits and/or procedures with accuracy and speed
- Other clerical tasks as required (faxing / monitoring fax inbox / answering phones / appointment reminder calls / etc.)
- Must be familiar with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
- All work is done on the computer - must have excellent computer skills and be able to learn new systems quickly
- Position is Full time, Monday - Friday, in our Jenkintown office
Competencies & Skills:
- Demonstrates knowledge of medical outpatient systems and procedures, registration systems and/or appointment scheduling functions
- Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills and strong organizational skills
- Responsive and service-oriented
- Balances high attention to detail with an appropriate sense of urgency
- Excellent computer skills, ability to learn new systems quickly
- Demonstrates ability to prioritize and to multitask
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year experience in a medical office setting required, GI experience preferred
- Previous public contact, telephone experience, or related clerical functions in a medical outpatient environment required
- Experience scheduling / documenting in EMR preferred, EPIC preferred
Salary : $19 - $20
