What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Clinical Trainee position at Gateway Health Services?
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with mental health disorders
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans based on individual needs
- Implement therapeutic interventions, including gender issues counseling and art therapy
- Monitor and document client progress and behavior
- Administer medications as prescribed under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed
- Assist with daily living activities, such as meal planning, hygiene, and recreational activities
Qualifications:
-Hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in the behavioral sciences, or related fields (e.gpsychology, social work etc.), and is on a track for an independent licensure in the State of Minnesota (LICSW, LP, LMFT, LPCC)
Qualified individuals must have a minimum of 1,500 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of clinical services to adults, adolescents and/or children with: Mental illness, substance use disorders, developmental disorders or traumatic brain injuries.
Two years of full-time experience working with people with serious and persistent mental illness and/or substance use disorders
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.99 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
