Director of Maintenance for a Fast Paced Growing Company
GC Realty & Development, LLC, is an excellent property management company looking for a driven, tech savvy person to fill their open Director of Maintenance role in their rapidly growing property management company. GC Realty is an award-winning industry leader focusing on being a hero to our clients by building wealth one happy resident at a time. GC Realty is working with over 400 housing providers, many who are out of state, to provide top notch housing for Chicagoland renters. We know quality homes and being responsive to resident needs will create satisfied families which helps our clients build a sustainable rental business. The successful Director of Maintenance candidate will drive results and profitability without losing sight of the bigger picture by leading, managing, and holding accountable our maintenance staff to improve outcomes.
In the first year, a successful Director of Maintenance will be expected to hire, train and develop staff, build and maintain vendor relationships, be responsible for profit and loss,oversee budgetary responsibilities, and manage projects.

The job comes with a generous starting salary of $120,000 to $140,000 USD, commensurate with experience.
What You'll Do
- Own all processes and procedures related to our Residential Maintenance department.
- Bring solid understanding of time and material costs to complete projects
- Be a fantastic leader to staff members. Hire, train and develop A players.
- Plan, organize, schedule, and oversee budgets effectively
- Build and maintain vendor relationships
- Oversee all digital resources of the department
- Supervise Estimates and Pricing
- Comply with Federal and Local Guidelines
What You'll Bring
- Associates or equivalent in Business Management or Finance
- 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and repairs or construction project management or managing a company that deals with the trades (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical)
- Strong interest in technology.
- Previous leadership experience is a must.
- Extreme personal initiative and interest in learning with a strong work ethic
- Organization and planning with the ability to think analytically
- Desire to focus on required outcomes with on time delivery
- A love for processes and continuous optimization = Better Results
- Hunger to learn new software and tech systems with the ability to be flexible and adaptive to changes.
