What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Project Manager - Cellular applications position at GCS?
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive critical programs within our Mobility Service. In this role, you will manage and deliver complex software development programs that support the client App, wireless services, and customer-facing features such as phone activation, line management, and service transfers. As the TPM, you will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Technical Leads, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities :
- Program Management
Lead the coordination and execution of technical programs that support Mobility Services. Focus areas include firmware updates, SIM card management, wireless service features, and activation processes.
Work in close partnership with Product Owners, Technical Leads, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure smooth execution across engineering teams.
Own the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for mobility programs, ensuring the team adheres to processes and timelines while maintaining high quality standards.
Identify and engage with the necessary teams to ensure the successful delivery of each program, from concept through execution, including weekly status updates and reporting.
Proactively identify and mitigate program risks, including technical, operational, and resource-related challenges. Raise and track issues to resolution.
Lead weekly program calls, providing status updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership. Communicate program progress, issues, and key milestones.
Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing the Mobility customer experience, such as phone activations, transfers, feature rollouts, and spam filtering.
Utilize tools like Confluence, Jira, Smartsheets, and MS Project to manage project timelines, track issues, and ensure all teams are aligned.
