What are the responsibilities and job description for the Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) position at Geminus & Regional Health Systems?
Regional Health Systems is Northwest Indiana’s largest provider of community-based mental health care, primary health care and addiction treatment services. We offer adults and children—both uninsured and insured—integrated care through our community mental health center and federally qualified health center. Regional Health Systems is a member of the Regional Care Group.
Responsibilities
- Organize nursing station, charts and medication cart ensuring medications are available, inventoried, and organized.
- Medication administration
- Monitor client care.
- Provide problem solving counseling and emergency interventions to stop or limit escalation of psychiatric symptoms.
- Measuring and documenting vital signs, i.e. temperature, blood sugar, and blood pressure
- Apply topical medication to minor skin conditions.
- Dress minor skin tears assessed by nurse.

7:00am-3:30pm
11:00am-7:30pm
3:00pm-11:30pm
Requirements
HS diploma or equivalent
Indiana CNA registration, listed in good standing as a QMA in the Indiana state Nurse Aide Registry
No experience required. Six months experience working in human services field preferred.
