What are the responsibilities and job description for the Exhibit Services Specialist position at General Exposition Services?
General Exposition Services, a rapidly growing trade show contractor that prides itself on the premium equipment and services it offers to all clients and exhibitors, is currently searching for a reliable and efficient Exhibitor Services Specialist to add to our team.
This role is an event site driven position in a customer service field. This is both an in-office and on-site administration role. This individual will provide top-level customer service to all clients while providing access to equipment and services available at events. The Exhibitor Services Specialist will report directly to the Director of Human Resources and Administration with support from the Senior Exhibitor Services Specialist.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Minor complaint resolution and follow up
- Identify and escalate major complaints to Senior Exhibitor Services Specialist for resolution.
- On-site quality control and order confirmation checks
- Complete process for closing events (process credit cards, check folders, etc.)
- Cross check orders on event spreadsheet and update as needed – 3 days prior to show production
- Service desk assignments as needed
- Collect payment on all balances due at event site
- Process carpet tags, initial spreadsheet, attach to load list, as directed by AE
- Edit spreadsheet and carpet tags (Booth #s) when revised exhibitor lists are sent
- Provide clerical support as needed to assist exhibitor services staff with incoming phone calls, emails, order processing, event documentation forms, and other daily functions
Other administrative tasks as assigned Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be an effective communicator
- Tradeshow or event experience preferred
- Proficient in MS Office; specifically, Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Local travel to event site required; extended overnight travel availability 10% of the time
