RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process and post customer payments including checks, ACH, and credit card transactions.
- Confirm credit balances and process customer refunds.
- Speak with customers by phone and email to provide account balance and take payments.
- Perform account audits to ensure payments are applied correctly and applying credit balances as requested. Log deductions or overpayments on customer accounts as needed.
- Verify, enter and post transactions from the lockbox and local deposits.
- Assist with internal and external audits of receivables records.
- Help to accomplish our accounting and organization missions by completing related tasks as needed.
- Provide information to Customer Service and Sales team where appropriate regarding customer accounts.
- Process and enter billing discrepancy corrections on customer accounts.
- Assist with the development and implementation of accounts receivable policies and procedures.
- Protect customer and company information by keeping it confidential where necessary
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma
- Bachelors of Business - Accounting plus
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 2-3 years current account receivable experience preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing facility or construction environment a plus
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Oracle R12 experience; SAP is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Excellent analytical skills, problem solving, verbal and written skills required, ability to perform in a team environment.
- Reconciliation experience
