DIRECTOR OF BEHAVIORAL SERVICES, Generations Healthcare Network, Lincolnwood, IL
Generations Healthcare Network seeks a Licensed Clinician (see below) to be the Director of Behavioral Services to act as Consultant for its Group of Five Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facilities (SMHRFs) in the Chicago area and Decatur, Illinois.
The Director of Behavioral Services will be seated at Generations Healthcare Network’s Corporate Offices in Lincolnwood, IL. However, regular travel to all five SMHRFs is required. Two facilities are in Evanston, two on the northside of Chicago and one in Decatur, IL.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Director of Behavioral Services:
- Serve as consultant for all SMHRFs
- Provide guidance and leadership in the management, development and operations of the facilities
- Develop and coordinate in-services, providing clinical and administrative training. Assist as needed with orientation activities, including aggression management programs
- Provide clinical supervision as needed to the QMHP, MHP, CRSS, and RSA staff
- Train staff to assess/oversee the assessment of potential consumers
- Audit and supervise programming/treatment of all levels of care to insure effective rehabilitation of all consumers
- Make written and oral recommendations concerning the operations of the facility to the Executive Director
- Ensure compliance with the current state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations

Requirements
of the Director of Behavioral Services:
Must have one of the following accreditations:
- Clinical Psychologist
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Physician
- Advanced practice nurse with psychiatric specialty
- Plus -
- Knowledge of SMHRF Rule 380
- Knowledge of Joint Commission standards in terms of LPHAs, Clinical directors, and Q/MHPs
- Must understand the consumer referral process for SMHRFs and be able to determine the least restrictive level of care
- Ability to maintain composure, de-escalate and provide a therapeutic solution when consumers are in crisis
