Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Wheeling at the Highlands has a great opportunity to join our team as a PT Front Desk Agent. This is a part time position.
- Responsible for counting cash, and maintaining accuracy of issued cash drawer at the beginning and end of each scheduled shift.
- Daily checks the front desk log for problems, special requests, etc.
- Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
- Transmits and receives telephone messages when necessary.
- Works closely with the reservations department to ensure arrival dates on reservations are correct.
- Communicates all information to the following shift to ensure a smooth transition.
- Works closely with all hotel departments to ensure the highest quality of customer service.
- Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Explains in-room and hotel features.
- Responsible for completing all required shift paperwork and reports as assigned by management.
- Responsible for completing all end of shift cash closing procedures.
- Keeps records of room availability and guests' accounts.
- Computes bill, collects payment, and makes changes for guests.
- Makes and confirms reservations.
- Posts charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone to ledger.
- Completes daily-required shift checklists.
- Must wear required uniform. Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
