Summary
Our mid-sized, growing pharmaceutical client is seeking a strategic sourcing professional with a strong focus on Consulting and Professional Services categories.
The Strategic Sourcing Execution Manager will execute strategic sourcing initiatives for enterprise-wide consulting categories, including management consulting, strategy, advisory services, professional services, and related external services. This role will deliver value through data-driven analysis, supplier relationship management, and effective commercial negotiations, while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and governance standards.
Responsibilities
- Enable sourcing strategies that align with business needs while meeting financial, operational, risk, quality, and assurance of supply/services objectives.
- Provide strong analytical support to sourcing initiatives, including spend analysis, cost modeling, benchmarking, and scenario analysis (advanced Excel skills required).
- Oversee key supplier relationships through supplier performance measurement, governance, and alignment to business objectives.
- Ensure and monitor compliance with sourcing policies and processes through stakeholder communication, training, and identification and reporting of exceptions or deviations.
- Drive savings and value creation across all consulting sourcing activities.
- Execute high-value and high-impact sourcing initiatives with cross-functional teams by assessing the consulting market, collecting business requirements, leading RFx processes, conducting commercial and rate card negotiations, and ensuring appropriate contractual structures are in place.
- Negotiate Master Services Agreements (MSAs), amendments, task orders, statements of work (SOWs), and change orders.
- Assess and mitigate supplier risks, ensuring adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and third-party risk management requirements.
- Produce and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting to measure sourcing outcomes versus objectives.
- Provide regular reporting on sourcing initiatives, including progress, risks, issues, and key insights for business partners.
- Provide category expertise and market intelligence to stakeholders regarding trends, rate dynamics, and changes in the consulting supplier landscape.
- Ensure appropriate controls are in place to meet regulatory and internal governance requirements (e.g., J-SOX, Third-Party Risk Management).
- Execute in alignment with best practices, including spend analysis, use of RFx tools and templates, contract management, preferred supplier programs, and ensuring sourcing savings are realized in financials.
- Support additional sourcing projects or initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
- 7 Years of Sourcing Experience, ideally within Corporate Category Management, preferably within pharmaceutical or Healthcare
- Demonstrated strategic sourcing experience, ideally within Corporate Sourcing, with a strong focus on Consulting and Professional Services categories.
- Proven experience executing consulting sourcing initiatives that result in preferred or strategic supplier partnerships.
- Highly proficient with Excel- Advanced Pivot tables, Formulas, etc. and all other MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Teams) needed.
- Ariba experience, preferably with Guided Sourcing
Term & Start
- 12 month contract – possible option to extend
- Start 2-3 weeks from an offer
- Princeton NJ – Hybrid, on site 2x/week on Tues/Thurs

Salary : $65 - $70
