Warranty/Conversion Technician

Job Summary:
We offer an exciting opportunity to work alongside some of the most dedicated and driven professionals in the industry. Giant Industries is currently seeking a skilled Warranty Conversion Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and performing repairs on equipment or products returned under warranty. You will also complete product conversions, retrofits, and modifications according to company specifications and engineering updates. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
· High school diploma or GED required
· Technical School training or associate degree in a related field preferred
· 2 years of experience in mechanical repair, assembly, or a related technical field
· Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
· Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
· Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
· Read and understand complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos
· Write correspondence in detail
· Verbally present information in one-on-one group situations (to management and/or other employees)
· Mathematical skills – add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure (using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals). Use a calculator, ruler, calipers, micrometers, or simple math for the same correct result
· Reasoning ability to carry out detailed and/or uninvolved written and/or oral instructions
· Work environment – ensure that work area is clean and safe

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
