Job Description

The Gibson Center for Behavioral Change will utilize the Research Assistant (RA) position to carry out the daily operations of clinical trials.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

1. 1. Conducts ratings and collects data in accordance with the study protocol in a standard, orderly manner; checks data for accuracy and completeness; enters data and documents procedures in a timely manner in accordance with protocol.
2. 1. Along with the study team, conducts all aspects of the clinical trial in accordance with Human Subjects Protection guidelines, best scientific practices, and good stewardship of funds.
3. 1. Replies to queries from data center in a timely manner.
4. 1. Prior to study start up, assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that are a site-specific supplement to the Manual of Procedures (MOP) for the protocol.
5. 1. Assists other study staff (e.g., Research Coordinator (RC)) in conducting assessments.
6. 1. Assists with recruitment efforts in the initial phase of study and throughout, when applicable.
7. 1. Assists with retention activities (reminding participants of study visits, calling participants who missed visits, calling their contacts, sending letters, etc.).
8. 1. Coordinate transportation needs of participants with Transportation Coordinator, when applicable.
9. 1. Identify and record all Adverse Events and Serious Adverse Events and report them to RC and Site Principal Investigator (PI).
10. 1. Attends meetings, including teleconferences with the Lead Team and clinical staff/team meetings, when appropriate.
11. 1. Participates in training and continuing education as requested.
12. 1. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in related science or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be detail/task oriented and possess proficient computer skills.
