Job Description
The Gibson Center for Behavioral Change will utilize the Research Assistant position to carry out the daily operations of clinical trials.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

- Conducts ratings and collects data in accordance with the study protocol in a standard, orderly manner; checks data for accuracy and completeness; enters data and documents procedures in a timely manner in accordance with protocol.

- Along with study team, conducts all aspects of the clinical trial in accordance with Human Subjects Protection guidelines, best scientific practices, and good stewardship of funds.

- Collects and ships laboratory samples and assures receipt of laboratory results.

- Replies to error queries from data center in a timely manner.

- Assists the site Principal Investigator (PI) and/or Research Coordinator (RC) by performing literature searches, formatting data for analyses, and writing up study procedures/results.

- Assists other study staff (e.g., research coordinator) in conducting assessments.

- Assists with recruitment efforts in initial phase of study and throughout, when applicable.

- Assists with retention activities (reminding participants of appointments, calling participants who missed appointments, calling their contacts, sending letters, etc).

- Coordinate transportation needs of participants with Transportation Coordinator.

- Identify and record all Adverse Events and Serious Adverse Events and report them to RC and site PI.

- Attends meetings, including national study teleconferences.

- Participates in training and continuing education as requested.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in related science or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer proficiency is required.
