Outreach Coordinator

To deliver Girl Scout programs to girls during school hours and/or after school at participating schools.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Recruit, place, and register all girls, parents, and adult volunteers with GSUSA who participate in GSofSI’s Extension Programs.
• Plan and conduct weekly troop meetings in the schools and virtually utilizing volunteers and resource persons (when available).
• Participate in training, planning and evaluation meetings as required.
• Maintain program, financial, and attendance records.
• Plan and execute annual recognition program.
• Plan and execute programs outside troop meetings, including but not limited to field trips and outdoor educational experiences.
• Maintain communication with girl and adult members, parents, school personnel, and community resource persons.
• Identify and organize community resources suitable for Girl Scout activities.
• Ensures Girl Scouting is open to all girls and adults by delivering the Girl Scouts message of pluralism and diversity to members of the council.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Good leadership skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work well with children and adults.
• Ability to set and meet goals with self-initiative.
• Ability to work with diverse population groups.
• Dependable, efficient, enthusiastic, and punctual.
• Ability to keep accurate records.
• Ability to represent Girl Scouting in the community.
• Ability to demonstrate the Girl Scout program.
• Willingness to perform tasks that involve the ability to exert light physical effort may include some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling objects and materials of moderate weight (20-25 pounds).
• Must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and insurance.
• Understanding and acceptance of the Girl Scout promise, law, beliefs, and principles. Willingness to become a member of Girl Scouts of the USA.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
