Position Purpose: The Food Strategy Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the acquisition and distribution of food donations to Gleaners Food Bank. The coordinator will assist the Food Strategy team with all activities related to the acquisition and distribution of food to reach annual goals. All responsibilities shall be consistent with Gleaners Food Bank's mission to lead the fight against hunger.
Position Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
- Assist with incoming orders accurately and promptly each day while adhering to set deadlines.
- Assist with customer service support to the Gleaners’ Hunger Relief Team by working with the Local Service Managers on agency distributions, orders, and special requests.
- Monitor warehouse inventory levels on all perishable commodities and ensure product is utilized before product expirations by working with necessary departments.
- Assist with receipting, tracking and reporting of food acquisitions.
- Collaborate with all Gleaners team departments to ensure organizational efficiencies.
- Work collaboratively across departments internally to ensure efficient product distribution process outcomes.
- Provide prompt customer service for inquiries from Hunger Relief Team, warehouse or agencies.
- Provide administrative support the entire Food Strategy team as needed.
- Point person for all incoming donation requests, delegate to appropriate food strategy team member.
- Run daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports for various measurables.
- Assist with department projects when applicable.
- Active participation in staff, departmental, board or board committee meetings as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Two years of experience in customer service/order entry desired
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook .
- Ability to create, analyze, and present reports.
- Ability to determine if a donation is worthwhile and the tax advantages to donor.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and relationship management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
- A commitment to full and visible participation as a hunger relief leader in the community.
