Description
General Definition:
- Responsible for accurately timing workouts each morning.
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervises Clocking staff
- Maintains book of each horse registered markings for identification
- Inputs daily work out details in computer
- Generates workout report, makes copies, and distributes to appropriate personnel.
- Notifies ambulance & other appropriate parties when an accident occurs on the track
- Coordinates the Workout Rule and first time starters for entries with appropriate personnel.
- Approve first-time starters around the turn and updates list
- All other duties as assigned by management.
- Transmits to the Stewards all complaints, protests, objections, or disputes.
- Assists, as required, in the daily operation of the racing office.

Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 3 years related experience and/or training; or combination.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be knowledgeable of the Rules of Racing.
- Responsible for fostering a fun environment.
- Responsible for being gracious to all guests and co-workers.
- Responsible for promoting a positive influence in the community and participating in company-sponsored events.
- Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
- Ensures that behavior and appearance are in compliance with established standards.
- Maintains a professional work environment with management and staff
- Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment
- Excellent customer service/communication skills
- Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
- Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
- Written communication skills in English may also be required.
Training:
- 3 year work related experience and/or training; or combination.
Licenses/Certifications/Other:
- Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency, if applicable to perform the essential job functions
- Texas Racing Commission License (TXRC)
