Job Description
Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician
Hours : 8AM – 4PM
Direct Reports: Maintenance Manager
Primary Job Function:
Ensure plastic extrusion equipment and plant facilities are maintained in such a manner that production requirements can be met. Responsible for overseeing multiple projects. Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment. Ensure all maintenance, electrical, welding and troubleshooting activities are properly completed. Must follow all safety regulations. Recommend equipment and ideas to improve plant operations.
Job Duties:
1. Responsible for completion of all maintenance duties as assigned.
2. Perform maintenance Mechanic and Electrical duties as required.
3. Inspect plastic extrusion machinery & equipment daily.
4. Ensure adherence to all company policies.
5. Audit maintenance activities daily.
6. Maintain a high level of housekeeping & safety standards.
7. Available for 24-hour emergency (call in) maintenance as required.
Qualifications:
1. Strong technical knowledge of extrusion machinery.
2. 3-5 years work experience with all aspects of industrial maintenance and welding.
3. Must have experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting pneumatics, mechanical, plant systems and light welding a plus.
4. Ability to prioritize activities and resources.
5. Must be able to work well independently and with others.
6. Ability to make sound decisions.
7. Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
8. Proficient in basic computer skills.
9. Must live in McPherson, KS or within 30 miles.
