What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Accountant position at Go Store It LLC?
This position works in Go Store It Management, the self-storage property management division of Madison Capital Group Holdings. The Property Accountant performs daily accounting activities for a portfolio of self-storage real estate properties and related legal entities; and delivers accurate results in accordance with required timelines for month-end close and internal and external reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
- Monitor/analyze GL accounts, adjust journal entries as needed
- Prepare/record journal entries for revenues, banking activity, monthly accruals and other property activity
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Prepare/maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts
- Track required payments and ensure items are paid timely; i.e. taxes, insurance, debt service, distributions
- May include various aspects of accounts payable
- Assist with preparation of supporting materials for audit and tax return process, etc
- Assist with recording of property-related transactions such as purchase/sale or refinancing
- Assist in other projects as needed

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Intermediate to advanced Excel required
- Yardi software experience required
- Experience performing and prioritizing multiple overlapping tasks
