What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front-End UI/UX Developer position at Golden Route Operations, LLC?
The mission of the Front-End UI/UX Developer is to work with our software applications team to achieve our business’ digital goals. The ideal candidate for this position is a hands-on professional with Full Stack development experience, and an ability to translate our business needs into client-friendly functions that will expand upon our existing software products. In addition, the candidate should be able to initiate new software requirements and see to completion the entire development process. The Front-End UI/UX Developer will be responsible for implementing feature requests on our existing desktop and online entities, as well as gathering requirements and implementing new internal and external procedures as the need arises.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Develop responsive and interactive front-end components using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front end components with REST Apis.
- Optimize application performance and ensure scalability by implementing best practices and efficient code.
- Translate design mockups and wireframes into functional web applications.
- Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Stay updated with emerging front-end technologies and best practices to continuously enhance our development processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years of professional experience as a Front-End Software Engineer.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Strong experience with front end frameworks such as Angular (Angular 2 ).
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet project deadlines.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to functionally communicate occupational-based English, both written and verbal
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
- Verify right to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Docker containers and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with .NET Core, Node.js, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, and Nginx.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Understanding of UX/UI design principles and usability testing.
- Certifications related to front end development or relevant technologies.
