What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cafe Cook position at Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare?
This position performs tasks necessary to provide quality food and quality service at a destination '10' level in our retail (café) operations and patient services.
Weekdays: Short order cook/server for lunch and dinner. Ensuring that all foods are in place for meal periods. Position requires attention to detail. Prepares and serves retail menu items following portion control, recipes, and standards. Must be familiar with all menu items offered, pricing, and equipment used in the retail areas: deli, grill, fryer, grab 'n go, hot line, salad bar, merchandisers, vending, etc.
Responsible for accurate cash handling and performing register transactions and merchandising, including available pricing information and upselling to meet café cash goals.
Maintains overall cleanliness including general cleaning and café safety. This position does general cleaning and other duties as necessary to provide quality food and quality service.
Individual must be a team player and maintain a friendly and cheerful demeanor at all times while on duty. The café cook position is responsible for the lunch and dinner meal periods and any advance preparation or supplies needed for next day.
Weekends: Provides food prep, quality control, and delivery of food to our patients in a timely manner and preps food items for upcoming week for café.
Full time. Works weekdays 10:45am-7:00pm and every other weekend 5:45am-1:30pm.
Henry County food handler card required.
