What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Tech position at Good Day Farm?
The?Delivery Tech?loads trucks and delivers products across the state. This position ensures products are delivered to the Dispensaries with outstanding service in a positive and friendly environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides prompt, secure, and professional delivery services.
- Checks and ensures orders are fulfilled and accurately packed for shipment.
- Maintains and safely operates delivery vehicles.
- Uploads documentation of delivery, maintenance, and compliance forms via paper copy or into proper electronic databases.
- Exhibits polite, professional driving etiquette.
- Follows specific routes and adheres to industry compliant turn-by-turn trip plans.
- Performs basic vehicle maintenance checks. (Fluids, tires, damage, engine, and body components).
- Maintains a positive work environment conducive to trust and respect.
- Follows procedures as outlined in onboarding and training.
- Adapts to frequent/last minute adjustments to daily schedule.
- Drives if needed 8 hours and covers 500 miles per day in all weather and road conditions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 years commercial driving experience
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
- Sitting 8 hours each shift, bending, squatting, climbing in and out of vehicle
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
- The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
- The ability to work in bright/hot/humid conditions
- The ability to work in low light situations
