At Good Samaritan, we offer careers with purpose. As a Senior Nursing Assistant, you will be an experienced caregiver to our residents in long term care, providing expert-level nursing care and daily living assistance.
Responsibilities
- Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Deliver age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per care plan.
- Assist with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
- Transfer, reposition, and walk residents using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment, and provide range of motion and passive exercises.
- Document resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
Requirements
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Two years' clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing.
