The Senior Nursing Assistant serves as an experienced caregiver to the resident during scheduled work periods in long-term care.
Responsibilities
- Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Assists residents with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care.
- Transfers, repositions, and walks residents using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment, while providing range of motion and passive exercises.
- Completes tasks related to food preparation and dining, creating a positive dining experience for residents.
- Assists with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Two years' clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing.
Salary : $22,348 - $29,754
