Floor Technician

SUMMARY: Responsible for ensuring the clean, sanitary and presentable appearance of floors in all buildings

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Maintain carpet care.
2. Maintain hard surface floors, machines scrub/strip, recoats/waxes (using floor equipment).
3. Maintain equipment and supplies in accordance with established policies and procedures.
4. Assist with supply deliveries and put them in the proper storage areas.
5. Clean elevator tracks and door tracks.
6. Complete all assigned work order requests.

 General knowledge of floor and carpet care. Ability to use all required equipment.

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED

Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions. Previous experience in carpet care and floor finishing techniques preferred but not required.

Responsibilities of the position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs., over 50 pounds must use the aid of a hand truck or get assistance. Moving furniture, standing on one’s feet for a long period of time, bending and extensive walking. Ability to push/pull all equipment for floor care.
