What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Associate - Textile Hanger position at Goodwill Industries of Tenneva, inc.?
Job Summary:
Pre-sorted clothing is available in the blue bins for the hanger. The Hanger has a rack of assorted hangers at workstation. The employee removes an article of clothing from the bin and the employee places article of clothing on the appropriate hanger and places it on Z rack by category, price, and size. Process is continued throughout the remainder of work day. The employee is responsible for reporting to the Team Lead/Assistant Team Lead.
Essential Job Duties:
- Clock in and out using electronic tablet independently or with assistance from the Team Lead/ Assistant Team Lead.
- Pick up clothing from the gaylord/ blue bin.
- Inspect clothing for tears, stains, missing buttons, etc.
- Choose appropriate hanger and put the article of clothing on the hanger.
- Hang the article of clothing on Z rack in category, price, and size.
- Put name on Z rack and then roll to POS station.
- Meeting or exceeding a daily quota

- Elementary-level education required

- Job can be learned by on-the-job work experience and one-on-one supervision.
Physical Demands
- Associate must have satisfactory eyesight.
- Associate is able to stand, push, bend, stoop and pull for 6 hours or more.
- Able to use a pallet jack or willing to learn to use the pallet jack.
Working Environment
- Normal lighting and production area conditions.
- Some dust, dirt and lint from incoming donated goods.
- Workspace is limited by equipment and materials necessary for production.
- NOT to restrict movement. Worker controls space and cleanliness.
- NO fire and safety hazards apparent.
- Aisle ways are to be maintained at all times.
