Job Responsibilities
As an Assistant you will be trained to provide support and assistance in the following areas:
Accounts Payable
-
Accurate payment of goods and services

Match and compare invoice pricing to the PO
-
Ensure correct authorizations
-
Ensure coding is correct and follow up with managers on discrepancies
-
Month end accrual and reconciliation of control reports
-
Keep accurate 1099 files
-
Maintain log of all vendor agreements
-
Provide monthly and annual reports as required
Sales Order and Accounts Receivable
-
Sales Order Management and invoicing
-
Check new customer credit and set limits in accordance with company policy
-
Ensure invoices are raised in accordance with fiscal periods
-
Work with shipping on discrepancies to sales orders
-
Credit Collection and apply cash collection against customer accounts
-
Provide monthly and annual reports as required and reconcile accounts
-
Assist with P&L for California Council of Goodwill
Daily Stores Audit
-
Reconcile store deposits daily
-
Works with store management and LP Dept. to reconcile discrepancies
-
Reports serious discrepancies to Senior Management & Loss Prevention
-
Conducts daily bank reconciliation of store deposits
-
Prepares month end journal entries
-
Responsible for accounting software entries for cash and credit cards
-
Performs related tasks to charge-backs from Merchant Services
-
Provides weekly and monthly reporting on store audits to management
General Ledger and Other
-
Ad-hoc reporting and reconciliations as required
-
Work with cross functional process improvement teams
-
Presentations on internal projects and cost reduction initiatives
-
Reconcile AR and AP checks, deposits and ACH through Bank Reconciliation
-
Internal audit of company processes – provide report and recommendations
-
Attend both internal and external training classes

Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance or computer science is preferred

Pay Range
$18.54- $20.00 hourly
