Residential Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Assistant to provide quality care and support to residents in a long-term care or community living environment. The ideal candidate will assist residents with daily activities, ensure their safety and well-being, and foster a respectful and nurturing atmosphere. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for individuals living in an independent living facility.

Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
• Support residents with medication reminders
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties
• Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
• Document care provided accurately in compliance with regulatory standards
• Support residents’ emotional needs through compassionate communication and social interaction
• Any other duties assigned by lead caregivier/supervisor

Requirements

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home & community care settings preferred
• Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, and behavioral management techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong interpersonal skills with a caring attitude toward residents of all ages and backgrounds
• Physical ability to assist with resident transfers ; capable of lifting up to 50 pounds if needed
• Valid driver’s license
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays if required

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
