Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high volume of personal injury or workers' compensation cases.
- Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, and medical providers.
- Coordinate with insurance adjusters and claims representatives to obtain authorizations for medications, treatments, and surgeries.
- Draft routine legal documents including motions, subpoenas, discovery requests, and correspondence.
- Prepare and compile special damages packages for submission to insurance carriers.
- Request and track itemized bills and medical records from healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and calendars.
- Prior experience as a legal assistant in personal injury or workers' compensation highly preferred / required to qualify for higher compensation consideration.
- Strong understanding of litigation processes, especially discovery.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Spanish fluency is a plus.
