This position is responsible for ensuring documents are placed in the appropriate section of the medical record analyzing the medical record to verify completion and may. This position assist with the release of information process. This position reports to the Director of Health Information Management and may float between the Hospital and GMG-Canton.
High School graduate or equivalent
Previous experience in medical record work or similar office setting and electronic medical record preferred
Intermediate computer knowledge and ability to effectively use a scanner, fax, copy machine and e-mail
Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to transition and work between multiple computer programs
Good organizational skills and attention to details
Ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal supervision
Ability to work under pressure with time constraints
Ability to respond appropriately to customers, physicians, and co-workers
Ability to interact with a wide variety of people
Maintain confidential information with the ability to communicate only the facts to recipients or decline to reveal information
